What the work involves
Power Washing, explained
Our climate puts a green-black film on north-facing walls, algae on concrete and a layer of road grime on everything near a parkway or main road. Washing it off makes a house look years newer — but the wrong nozzle at the wrong pressure drives water behind siding, etches brick and strips wood.
We soft wash siding, stucco and roofing-adjacent surfaces with low pressure and a cleaning solution that kills organic growth, and reserve higher pressure for concrete, pavers, retaining walls and masonry that can take it.
What's included
- Walk-around to identify surface types, loose siding and problem areas
- Protection of plantings, light fixtures, outlets and A/C units
- Soft-wash detergent application to kill algae, mildew and mold at the root
- Low-pressure rinse for siding, stucco, soffits and painted surfaces
- Higher-pressure cleaning for concrete driveways, walkways, steps and pavers
- Deck, porch and fence washing at wood-safe pressure
- Gutter face brightening on request
- Post-wash rinse-down of landscaping and hard surfaces

How the job runs
- 1
Surface assessment
We identify what we are cleaning — vinyl, aluminum, wood, stucco, brick, concrete — and check for loose siding, open seams, damaged screens and failing caulk before we spray anything.
- 2
Protect & pre-treat
Shrubs and beds get wet down and covered as needed, then the cleaning solution is applied from the bottom up and given time to work.
- 3
Wash
Surfaces are washed top-down at the correct pressure for the material, working in sections so nothing dries with detergent on it.
- 4
Rinse & inspect
Everything gets a full rinse including landscaping, then we walk it with you to check for missed spots and anything that will not come clean (permanent oxidation or stains).
What to expect as a homeowner
- Most single-family houses take half a day; larger homes with heavy growth take a full day.
- Someone should be home or reachable so we can access an outside spigot and confirm which areas to include.
- Chalky, oxidized vinyl and aluminum will clean up but can stay dull — that condition needs paint, not more pressure.
- Power washing is the right first step before any exterior painting job; done together, prep costs less.
